Keep US Covered Campaign Release Statement in Advance of the State of the Union Address

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Keep US Covered's Executive Director Sonja Nesbit released a statement in advance of President Biden's State of the Union address. 
 
The statement reads:
 
“Now more than ever we must keep fighting to advance health equity and close health disparity gaps. This year’s State of the Union provides an opportunity for the president to recommit to these principles and outline actions he can take without Congress to strengthen our health care system for those who need it the most. That’s why we’ve urged the administration to follow through on efforts to roll back Trump-era policies that promote lower quality and higher cost coverage, like junk insurance and ICHRAs. Working people deserve health coverage they can rely on – and equal access to that coverage. Keep US Covered is proud to support the president’s health equity goals and will continue working to help the administration improve our health care system.”
